Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications

·         A post-secondary education

·         Previous experience in working as a Security Guard

·         Valid PSISA Security Guard License

·         First AID, CPR, and AED Training

·         WHIMS and other safety awareness courses

·         Completion of Supervisory and leadership Programs/Courses provided internally

·         Advanced knowledge of computers and related systems

Experience and General Skill Requirements

·         3 years working in a commercial and or government security environment, in the position of increasing responsibility

·         Ability to learn and willing to take job-related courses in systems/security disciplines

·         A good Understanding of Control center procedures and emergency response experience is an asset

·         Effective Communication Skills and Customer Service skills are required.

·         Ability to complete and retain certifications as needed.

·         Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Office

·         Basic Knowledge knowledge of Building systems (I.E. HVAC, Sprinklers, Elevator, Mechanical system Etc.)

·         Familiarity with Access Control/CCTV/Fire & Life Safety equipment/Systems.

·         Former Military Experience Considered.
